Bright Stars assistant coach Paul Kiwanuka has responded to George Ssimwogerere’s claims regarding Mwerwere Champions Stadium.

“In my opinion coach Ssimu is scared that’s why is already making alarm on how poor our pitch is, I remember when his team played at Namboole, St.Mary’s Stadium Kitende and Lugogo against URA, Villa, KCCA and Vipers they lost. These are the pitches that he says are of a great quality, why didn’t he get the positive results.

“I think he is only looking for an escape route since he knows that we are going to eliminate his team in the competition.”

Kiwanuka is also confident that they can go on an win the trophy for the first time in the club’s history basing on the commitment of his players

“This is our first time in the semis, I believe we can go all the way and win the competition for the first time in our history basing on the commitment our players have exhibited in the tournament.” Added Kiwanuka.

Bright Stars will be hosting joint Uganda Cup holders Express FC in the semifinal first leg on Sunday 28th April at Mwerwere Champions Stadium.
