Express, KCCA in must win affair as relegation fight meets defending champions

With only 4 points behind table leaders Vipers, KCCA FC still believe their title defense is still on.

They visit an Express side that is fighting for their lives in a bid to beat the drop. KCCA FC will however have one mind on their upcoming CAF champions league group opener on Friday against Township Rollers of Botswana.

It’s not a big point of concern for Mike Mutebi since it gives a big test to his team as they are preparing for the tougher times.

The last 17 meetings between the two teams have been dominated by KCCA FC who boast of 7 wins in relation to Express’ 3. The remaining 7 have ended in stalemates.

Express FC head coach Shafiq Bisaso has included youngster Desmond Kanene from the U18s into his fully fit and available squad.

KCCA FC welcome back striker Derrick Nsibambi who has been sidelined through injury. Saddam Juma and Muzamir Mutyaba will not be available due to injury.

Mike Mutebi has also confirmed that January signing Tom Ikarah will start in goal to be deputised by Jamal Maliyamungu.
