Express FC are in ongoing talks with Murushid Juuko, Eric Kenzo Kambale and custodian Mathias Muwanga over extending their employment contract.
Juuko is currently a free agent after serving his one year employment contract at the Red Eagles.
Last season, the Uganda Cranes international formed an impervious partnership with Isa Lumu and displayed leadership qualities and experience, constantly marshalling the Express defence.
His partnership with Lumu at the heart of the Red Eagles defence which conceded only 13 goals keeping 15 clean sheets in total in the league.
The club also remains optimistic that they will renew star player Eric Kambale’s stay with an improved deal.
Ever since he arrived at Express FC at the start of the 2018/19 season, Kambale has hit the ceiling in terms of both performance and popularity.
Last season, he helped the club win the Uganda Premier League scoring 15 goals in the league and two in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Custodian Muwanga is currently a free agent after expiration of his contract at the club.
The former URA FC goalie was recently rewarded with a golden glove accolade by the Uganda Premier League following his impressive campaign at Express FC where he had 13 clean sheets in the league.
The reigning champions remain confident that they will reach a compromise and renew the shot stopper’s contract.
Express FC will be representing Uganda at the CAF Champions league next season.
