SC Villa were also interested in pushing for the signature of their former fans’ favourite but they opted out due to Kyetume’s insistence on an initial loan deal.

He spent last season at Kyetume FC after being released by KCCA FC a year ago.

The former Synergy FC box to box midfielder won the 2018/19 Uganda cup with KCCA but later fell out with Mike Mutebi and consequently lost his starting berth.

Express, Uganda’s representatives in the CAF champions league will be very much improved with Kasozi’s arrival. They have also confirmed the signing of Bright Stars’ Joseph Akandwanaho and Kasozi’s former teammate at Kyetume Joel Mutakubwa.
