Express FC cruised to a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Wakiso Giants at Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.

The Red Eagles alongside Vipers remain the only two unbeaten sides in the league. Vipers will play against Onduparaka tomorrow in Arua.

In form striker George Senkaba put Express FC in an early lead after only 6 minutes of play, he tapped home Eric Kambale’s cross.

Before Wakiso Giants regrouped to restore parity, Charles Musiige produced a moment of magic when he drove the ball from over 20 yards and slotted home a neat finish past Samson Kirya in the 11th minute.

The home team dominated affairs in the entire first half and had it not been for Lwesibawa and Kambale’s profligacy, Express’ lead would have been beyond reach.

Immediately after restart, Lwesibawa made amends for his blushes by sending a rocket free kick towards goal that deflected off Wakiso’s wall thus extending Express’ lead on 53 minutes.

As if there was still hope for a come back, Douglas Bamweyana the Wakiso Giants coach made a triple substitution by introducing Hassan Wasswa, Hamis Muwonge and Alex Komakech for the much ineffective Yasin Mugume, Pius Kaggwa. Faizul Ibrahim was also replaced.

Three minutes later on the 63rd minute, Bbosa also countered Bamweyana’s action by introducing Muzamir Mutyaba and Ibrahim Kayiwa for Abel Eturude and goal scorer Godfrey Lwesibawa.

Bbosa also brought on Frank Kalanda in a bid to rest George Senkaaba and exciting youngster Faizal Sekyanzi for another goal scorer Charles Musiige on 71 minutes. Kiragga Mustafa later came on for Eric Kambale in the 82nd minute.

Frank Kalanda got a series of opportunities to make the scoreline more uglier for Wakiso Giants but his scoring boots were forgotten in the dressing room.

Victory pushes Express up to the top of the log with only a point above Vipers SC. Wakiso Giants fall to 11th with 11 points collected out of 10 games .
