Express FC fall 1-0 to Congolese side DC Bukavu Dawa in pre season friendly.

Express FC has this morning fallen 1-0 to Congolese side DC Bukavu Dawa in a pre season friendly played at Mutesa II Memorial Stadium Wankulukuku.

Express stand in coach and legend Edward Kalungi named two line ups for each half with new potential recruits all given chance ahead of the official club’s unveiling of the new players. Kalungi is expected to be named head coach alongside other club legends Sam Kawalya and Hassan Mubiru as his assistants.

Among those given a run out were former SC Villa midfielder Steven Bengo who is yet to finalise with his move to the club. Others players who took part included former KCCA and Express Rwandese defender Omar Hitimana who is also expected to be unveiled as a new addition to the club.

Emmanuel Opio’s howler at the beginning of the 2nd half gifted the visitors with an unlikely goal after he spilled over Patrick Ochan’s thunderous shot in the path of an on rush Bukavu striker and that’s how the game ended in favour of the visitors.
