Walusimbi replaces Disan Galiwango who was the club skipper during the previous campaign and will be deputised by custodian Mathias Muwanga and youngster Desmond Kaneene.

Walusimbi has previously featured for regional sides Nansana and Luweero United but it’s his time at Solito Bright Stars that he stood out marshalling the backline for three seasons as well as captaining the side.

The Wankulukuku based side beefed up their squad with new recruits Ibrahim Kayiwa, Denis Otim, Chrispus Kusiima, Richard Bbosa, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Abel Eturude, Isaac Nsengiyunva, Mustafa Kiragga, Charles Musige, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Baker Sakah, John Toki Byamukama, Dennis Mubuya and Charles Musige.

The 2020/21 Football season is expected to kick off next month after the government gave a greenlight to the return of sports activities in the country.
