Express FC confirm the signing of Joel Mutakubwa

Express FC have signed goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa from Kyetume FC on a two year contract.

The newly crowned Uganda Premier League champions have officially unveiled Mutakubwa ahead of the CECAFA Kagame Cup.

Mutakubwa is one of the highly rated shot stoppers in the country. He joins Express after his contract with Kyetume expired.

” This is a great step towards achieving my goals as a footballer, Express FC is surely the right place to be because of the championship mentality here, I know what is expected of me and I will do my very best to level. I want to thank the head coach (Wasswa Bbosa) for having the trust in me.”

Mutakubwa said via the club website.

Mutakubwa has previously played for Kyetume FC, Tooro United and Kirinya Jinja SS (now known as Busoga United).

The Uganda Cranes goalkeeper fills the void left by Mathias Muwanga who left the club after his contract expired.

Express have embarked on preparations for the CECAFA Kagame Cup where they will face Yanga SC of Tanzania and Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets.
