Express FC close to agreeing terms with Cranes midfielder

The journeyman has featured for Sports Club Victoria University, URA FC, South African side Orlando Pirates and Ethiopian sides St.George, Gondar based Fassil Kenema FC, Sehul Shire and Sidama Buna FC.

Express FC are interested in the signature of Uganda Cranes and former Orlando Pirates midfielder Yasser Mugerwa.

Swift Sports understands that the Midfielder is currently a free agent after expiry of his employment contract with Ethiopian outfit Sidama Buna Football Club.

Mugerwa has recently been training with the six time Uganda Premier League champions at Wankulukuku.

The playmaker began his football career at Nateete based side Super Cubs before he joined Nkumba University.

He has featured for Sports Club Victoria University, URA FC, South African side Orlando Pirates and Ethiopian sides St.George, Gondar based Fassil Kenema FC, Sehul Shire and Sidama Buna FC.

Mugerwa has seven National team caps since his debut in 2014. He also featured at the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) tournament that was staged in South Africa in 2014.

Express FC are currently at the summit of the Uganda Premier League with 58 points in 26 games.
