Express crowned Uganda Premier league champions for 2020/21 season

Express FC have officially been crowned as Uganda Premier League champions for the 2020/21 season.

The Red Eagles received their League trophy at a scientific event on Tuesday morning at StarTimes Uganda offices, Soliz house.

The coronation ceremony was graced by FUFA President Moses Magogo and StarTimes CEO Franklin Wang. Express FC was represented by Board Member Ssuubi Kiwanuka, Head coach Wasswa Bbosa, CEO Isaac Mwesigwa and assistant captain Mathias Muwanga.

Head coach Bbosa dedicated the trophy to late Manager Kinobe

“It was a difficult journey but we worked hard to achieve this amazing success.” This is my first time to win the trophy as head coach and I dedicate it to the late manager Kinobe.”

The Red Eagles were declared Uganda Premier league champions at the end of last month when FUFA applied Force Majecure due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

Following their seventh league triumph, Express FC will represent Uganda at the CAF Champions League.
