Express 0-0 SC Villa: Wankulukuku stalemate as derby clash fails to provide finish

David GOMBE

Express FC played out to a goalless draw with SC Villa at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday.

A man of the match performance from exciting youngster Travis Mutyaba was however not enough to inspire the record champions to maximum points at Wankulukuku.

The reigning champions remain winless at home having drawn twice and lost once in three games they have hosted this term. In fact they have only won once in their opening opening six games.

For Villa, they were looking to bounce back from the 3-1 home defeat to Wakiso Giants but their forward line of Iddi Wahid, Oscar Mawa and Travis Mutyaba lacked experience.

The visitors dominated proceedings in the first period but couldn’t find a way through.

Wasswa Bbosa’s side failed to create chances and their starman Eric Kambale forced to fetch the ball deep in midfield.

Express are move to five points in six games while Villa are on four points.

The Red Eagles will next host Wakiso Giants on Friday, 26th November while Villa will entertain Onduparaka FC at Kavumba.
