Tooro United head coach Edward Golola has refused to rule out a potential return to Vipers after the post was rendered vacant following the resignation of Fred Kajoba.
Golola was sacked at the beginning of last year and was taken up by Tooro United who he is on the verge of guiding back to the top flight.
When asked about the possibility of returning to fill the void left by Kajoba, the former Vipers head coach refused to rule out a potential return.
” To be frank I am still head coach of Tooro United and I have a big task of helping them back to the premier league ”
“That task at hand hasn’t yet been fulfilled but hey, who would turn down a return back home?”.
“If a chance comes for me to go back, I will take it with open arms but currently my focus is still with Tooro United and the mission to see them up”
Edward Golola has a rich history with Vipers SC having served before in capacities as head coach and assistant.
He won Vipers their first league title in 2010/11 as Jackson Mayanja’s assistant and later on won the league as head coach in 2014/15.
The other honours he won with Vipers are the Uganda cup in 2016 as George Best Nsimbe’s assistant and also the league title as Miguel Da Costa’s assistant in the 2017/18 season.
His current task is only a win away to accomplish, with Tooro United hosting Kigezi Homeboyz at Wankulukuku on Sunday. They lead the Rwenzori group on 28 points and win will see them earn automatic promotion to the Uganda Premier league.
