The second edition of the Kabira Country club football tournament has officially been launched today at Kabira Country club. The competition will be a one day event and is slated for Sunday 31st March at Kabira football grounds. Twenty teams are to take part in the competition.
Rakesh Hurrychurn the general manager Kabira Country club believes the tournament will create a network between them and other corporate companies and help in promoting football.
“We are delighted that we are to have our second edition of the Kabira football tournament and I can assure everyone that we shall have a better event better than the previous edition.”
I believe the competition will also help in promoting football, creating a network with the Corporate world and also help the participants healthy wise.”
Some of the rules and regulations for this tournament include the following.
• Six players will be allowed to play
• There will be unlimited substitutions
•A substitute is allowed to comeback on the pitch
•Players with FUFA licenses will not be allowed to participate
The winner will take home a trophy and a token of one million Ugandan shillings, the runners up will scoop 500,000 and the third placed team will be given 300,000 shillings. Team Pro zone were last year’s winners defeating Victoria University 1-0.
