Eddy Kenzo foundation tournament reaches final stage

The inaugural Eddy Kenzo foundation football tournament reached the final stage with Seruganda FC and Kampala Galaxy set to vie for the ultimate prize.

The tournament is organized by BET Award winner Eddy Kenzo and his foundation with only players below the age of 17 eligible to take part.

A total of six teams embraced the first ever edition. The six were pitted into two groups with the best two placed teams progressing to the semi finals.

Seruganda FC of Munyonyo defeated Super Heroes academy 1-0 to seal a place in the final whereas Kampala Galaxy edged God is Able academy with the similar scoreline thanks to Patrick Kiisa.

The two – Seruganda FC and Kampala Galaxy will face off in the final slated for Sunday 7th July at the Officers Mess in Makindye.

The Eddy Kenzo foundation football tournament was established with the primary aim of nurturing new talents in Ugandan football.
