DR Congo hit by five positive COVID-19 cases ahead of Libya tie

Group B leaders DR Congo have been hit by unfortunate news of five of their players whose results yielded positive for COVID-19

Among these is head coach Florent Ibenge, first choice goal keeper Ley Matampi , Guy Mulamba, Doxa Gikanji and Andy Lobulka.

The development comes after striker Chico Ushindi and Masasi Obenza underwent a late fitness test for this evening’s match.

Congo aim to clinch their place in the knockout stages if they beat Libya today at the Japoma Stadium.

They lead group B with 3 points after beating Congo 1-0 in the opening match , while Libya were held by Niger.
