Vipers Sports Club have completed the signing of former SC Villa left back Musisi Farouk on a three year deal.
Musisi is on a return to the Ugandan league following a one and half year stint in Zambia with Konkola Blades Football Club.
He had also previously played for Artland Katale, Lweza FC (now defunct), Bazopa FC and Proline FC before he left for Zambia early last year.
Musisi will compete for the starting slot on the left side of Vipers’ defense with youngster Aziz Kayondo while Dan Birikwalira is reportedly out injured.
Vipers have also been tracking Express’ Disan Galiwango, Faizal Muledhu and former Allan URA captain Munaaba as possible replacements of the already departed Yayo Lutimba.
He becomes the eighth signing of the Venoms after Fahad Bayo, Siraje Sentamu, Paul Wila Muhammad Shaban, Denis Mwemezi, Allan Kayiwa, Henry Kitagenyi and lanky defender Rashid Toha.
Vipers will open their 2019-20 UPL season with a tie against Bright Stars at Wankulukuku on Friday 30th August.
The three time league champions also have a Pilsner Super 8 final to play for. They await for the eventual winner between Onduparaka and KCCA.
