Done Deal: Mike Mutebi joins Vipers SC

Mutebi spent the last five years at KCCA and won three league titles, two Uganda Cups, Four Supers Cups and one CECAFA Club Cup.

Vipers Sports Club have appointed former KCCA FC head coach Mike Hillary Mutebi as their new coach, Swift Sports can reliably confirm.

The former KCCA tactician has put pen to paper on a three year employment contract with the four time Uganda Premier League champions.

Mutebi replaces Fred Kajoba who resigned from the role in May this year.

Mutebi will officially begin his work at Vipers SC next season. The club has been under the interim stewardship of Paul Kiwanuka.

At KCCA FC, Mutebi spent five years with the club winning three league titles, two Uganda Cups, Four Supers Cups and one CECAFA club cup making him the most successful coach in the club’s history.

Mutebi managed 247 games at KCCA, winning 152, drawing 56 and lost 39. The club scored 446 and conceded 200 goals during his reign at the 13 time Uganda Premier League champions.

Vipers are currently third on the Uganda Premier League table with 55 points in 26 games, the Kitende outfit are also in the Stanbic Uganda Cup semifinals.

Sports activities are still halted following President Museveni’s directives on rising cases of the deadly global Covid-19 pandemic.
