Mbarara City have acquired the services of bow-legged midfielder Gaddafi Muhammad “Gadinho” from Onduparaka FC.

Gadinho put pen to paper on a two year contract with the Ankole Lions and became the club’s first signing ahead of the 2019-20 UPL season.

Gadinho was an integral figure in Onduparaka's fairytale that saw the West Nile club get promoted to the topflight in 2016 and emerged losing finalists in the Uganda Cup.

He joins defender Rashid Muhammad and midfielder Ivan Mboowa who were his teammates at Onduparaka and now turn out for the Mbarara outfit.

Gadinho also links up with his former coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi.

Mbarara City is reportedly in pursuit for Gadinho's former teammate Viane Sekajugo who is currently a free agent since his contract expired at the end of the concluded season.

The Ankole Lions finished fifth last season having garnered 46 points from the 30 games played.
