Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have announced the acquisition of Ugandan lanky forward George Abege from Kenya’s Kariobangi Sharks.
“We are on course, Kotoko snap up George Abege from Kariobangi Sharks”, confirmed the club.
Abege will be the second Ugandan to ply his trade in the Ghanaian Premier League after Joseph Ochaya who featured for the Porucupine warriors between 2012-2014.
The giant striker has previously featured for Sc Victoria University and Maroons Fc in Uganda before crossing boarders to neighbours Kenya where he has featured for Kariobangi Sharks which he helped to scoop the SportPesa shield last season.
He has also previously played for Sony Sugar, Nairobi City Stars, Posta Rangers and Bandari FC.
Asante Kotoko are said to have gained interest in the Ugandan when they faced his former club in the CAF Confederation CUP last year.
