Fresh from guiding Uganda Cranes to a consecutive AFCON qualification, Denis Iguma inspired his side Kamza Sporting Club to a 2-1 victory in the Kuwaiti Premier League.

Featuring as a defensive midfielder, Iguma scored his first goal of the season in the 78th minute to inspire Kazma SC overcome lowly side Al Jahra.

Al Jahra had gone one up courtesy of Congolese attacker Ngombe Mbengue Rudolf Danger in the 16th minute.

With four minutes to normal time, Brazilian striker Francisco Vanderlei completed Kamza’s comeback with a winning goal.

Iguma and Vanderlei are one of the maximum five foreign players permitted to feature Kazma SC in the Kuwaiti top tier.

The former SC Villa captain has spent quality time in the Middle East since leaving SC Victoria University four years ago, playing for Al Ahed and Al Nabi Chit SC (Now Bekaa) in the Lebanese topflight league.

Besides the goal scored today, Iguma also has one assist onto his name this season.

Victory propels Kamza SC to the third place with 19 points collected from 10 games and 4 points behind table leaders Al Kuwait who have played a game less.

Next on card for Iguma and teammates will be a visit to 7 placed side Al Tadhamon on Monday 3rd December.
