Defender Mugisha targets more success after winning Burundi Primus League

Following a successful 2019/20 campaign with Burundi Primus league champions Le Messager Ngozi, Ugandan born defender Steven Mugisha eyes for more glorious moments with the Burundian outfit.

Mugisha also expressed his delight upon the Burundian league triumph in the just concluded season

“It is every player’s dream to be a champion and I am delighted that we won the league title last season. The glorious moment will motivate us even more.”

” We are not going to rest following last season’s success since we expect a busy campaign, with CAF Champions League football. We want to improve on our performances on the continent.” Mugisha asserts,

Having shone for his club, Mugisha’s ultimate compliment is to play for the national team

“Every player’s dream world over is to play for the national team and to me it would be a dream come true to represent my country.”

With all the borders closed due to the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, Mugisha and his teammate Brian Allan Kizza, a defensive midfielder have their return for holidays halted for the moment.

Mugisha has previously played at Police in the Uganda Premier League having earlier played at Naguru Young Soccer Academy, Nkumba University and Entebbe Football Club.
