Zimbabwe’s Lady Chevrons outclassed the Uganda with a 15-run victory in the semifinals of the ICC Women T20 World Cup Qualifiers on Friday in Botswana.
Zimbabwe’s Precious Marange (40) was the player of the match following her impressive display.
Marange and Loreen Thusma (22) had a combined with a 61-run that saw Zimbabwe record 108/6 in 20 overs.
The Victoria Pearls had no meaningful partnerships. Captain Immaculate Nakisuyi (18) and Rachel Ntono (14) had the only worth contributions.
Uganda fell short by 14 runs in the last over to end their campaign in Botswana.
The Victoria Pearls will now face off with East African neighbours Tanzania on Sunday for a 3rd place playoff before returning home on Tuesday.
Zimbabwe’s Lady Chevrons will lock horns with Namibia in the epic final on Sunday.
