Unimoni, a leading global provider of financial solutions becomes the title sponsor for this year’s T20 National cup tournament, which will be played across Uganda. The tournament kicked off today 22nd October and will conclude on 9th December 2018.
Matches will be played across venues in Uganda such as the Lugogo Oval, Kyambogo Oval, Entebbe Oval, Budo Oval and Jinja Oval.
Nazeem Khan, country head of unimoni Uganda believes sports activities are key factors in connecting customers and that’s why they decided to sponsor the tournament, he said
“We believe in connecting our customers through events and activities that they are fond of. Cricket is one of the most loved sports in the region and we are thrilled to present the 2018 edition of the T20 National cup.”
Speaking about the sponsorship, Bashir Badu, chairman of Uganda Cricket Association said,
“Being associated with a global, such as Unimoni, gives this tournament the impetus that it needs to reach the next level. Cricket is the second most popular sport in Uganda and through this league our primary goal is to develop young talent in the country.”
The tournament will see 16 of Uganda’s biggest Cricket clubs fight it out for the championship title, these are ACC, ADDT, Avengers, Aziz Partidar CC, Premier CC, SKLPS, Strikers CC, Tornado Bees CC, Damani CC, Ceylon Lions CC, Challengers CC, JACC, Jinja SS, KICC, Kutchi Tigers CC and Wanderers CC.
