Crested cranes skipper Tracy Akiror remains hopeful despite a humiliating 4-1 defeat at the hands of defending champions Tanzania in the ongoing CECAFA Women’s Championship Rwanda.
Akiror asserts that morale and belief are still high in the Crested cranes camp and believes they will comeback strong in the next game.
“We have lost today against a great Tanzanian side since luck was not on our side, but my teammates have remained hopeful and optimistic to win the trophy.”
“I promise our fans that we still focused and we shall be able to fight for win in our next encounter against Rwanda.”
The Crested Cranes are still top of the 5-team round-robin table with 6 points accumulated from 3 games and their next game will be against hosts Rwanda on Wednesday 25th July at 5:00pm.
