Uganda Cranes vice captain Hassan Wasswa revealed a list of five toughest opponents he has faced while appearing on Gugudde TV via Skype.

Wasswa says Egypt and Liverpool’s starman Mohamed Salah and Zimbabwe captain Knowledge Musona were the toughest opponents he faced during the 2019 AFCON tournament.

” Mane (Sadio) didn’t give me a hard time but Salah (Mohamed) and Zimbabwe’s captain Knowledge Musona were difficult to mark.

” Salah’s pace was always unmatchable which made him so hard to contain.”

It should be remembered that Uganda drew 1-1 with Zimbabwe’s Mighty Warriors and lost 2-0 to Salah’s Egypt in the final Group A game.

Wasswa also named Miya Farouk, Owen Kasule and former Cranes marksman Geoffrey Massa as his three toughest opponents in Uganda.

” There are three players that have always given me a hard time. In this current generation, it’s Miya Farouk since his heydays at Vipers.”

” Another one is Owen Kasule, the former KCCA and Bunamwaya midfielder and lastly my former captain Geoffrey Massa. It was also a battle with him during the training.”

As of now, the veteran defender is club-less after leaving Jeddah FC shortly after joining the Saudi Arabian club on a one year contract.

Wasswa has featured for the national team the Cranes since 2006 garnering over 70 caps in the process.
