Desabre’s charges humbled Lesotho 3-0 at Mandela National stadium, Namboole on Saturday Courtesy of a Emmanuel Okwi brace and Farouk Miya goal from the spot.

The result was also Cranes first competitive win under the stewardship of the French tactician Sebastien Desabre who replaced Serbian Milutin Sredjovic ‘Micho’.

This will be the third meeting between the two sides, with Uganda winning twice and other ending in a draw. The last time the both sides faced off in Maseru was on 16th June 2017 and the game ended goalless.

Uganda currently lead group L with 7 points from 3 games and are yet to concede a goal in 270 minutes in this qualification campaign.

Lesotho are third in the group with 2 points accumulated in 3 games played and will be aiming for maximum points to keep their dreams of making it to Cameroon alive.

Murushid Juuko returns to boost Cranes defence after serving his one match suspension that ruled him out of the previous contest.

Left back Bokang Sello is back on the hosts side after serving his suspension. This is good news for Moses Maliehe’s who surely missed the left back’s services at Namboole.

The trio of Moses Waiswa, Emmanuel Okwi, Farouk Miya is expected to again provide a positive contribution to Desabre’s side, whereas Tumelo Khutlang who was impressive for Lesotho is expected to provide magic for Moses Maliehe coached side.

Sebastien Desabre is the man charged with steering the ship to the shore and victory tomorrow will be enough for his side to book a ticket to Cameroon. The Crocodiles on the other hand need to win if they are to make history by qualifying for the final tournament first time in the country’s history.
