SuperSport United are in a lookout for a new central defender in preparation for the new ABSA Premiership season.

Jjuuko was a prime target for Micho’s coached side Orlando Pirates last year but the deal failed to materialise which meant that he would stay at Simba SC.

However, reports indicate that the Tanzanian champions are willing to let him go especially with the signing of Ivorian defender Serge Pascal Wawa.

Jjuuko has previously featured for Bunamwaya, Entebbe Young and the defunct SC Victoria University before moving to Tanzania in 2014. He has been a mainstay in the Cranes set up since then and represented Uganda in the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.

Should Jjuuko join the Matsatsantsa, he will become the third Ugandan player in the PSL after Denis Onyango at Mamelodi Sundowns and Allan Kateregga at Cape Town City
