Captain Juliet Nalukenge scored Uganda’s lone goal as the U-17 Crested Cranes drew 1-1 with Zambia’s Junior Shepolopolo in the opening game of the COSAFA U-17 tournament at the Stade Francois Xavier stadium in Mauritius.

Nalukenge showed excellent composure to score from the spot in the 62nd minute after Kevin Nakachwa was brought down in the box.

The Ayub Khalifa coached team was made to pay for their prolificacy in the final third when the Zambians levelled matters in the final 10 minutes of the game.
