Come into the second period, Swaziland reduced the deficit with two unanswered goals through Sandiswa Mgcamphalala and Celiwe Thandazile Nkambule in the 61st and 77th minutes respectively.

Nassuna made it 4-2 converting from 12 yards following a foul on Tracy Jones Akiror in the box 9 minutes from normal time.

Swaziland pulled one back courtesy of Cebile Shongwe lob in the 86th minute.

Nassuna’s exploits on the evening propelled her to the Player of the match accolade.

How Bulega played her cards
Without six of her 20 squad players, Bulega had only 2 defenders available for selection. Roving right back Viola Namuddu was shifted to the left back position to fill the void left by the absence of Grace Aluka. Midfielder Phiona Nabbumba partnered Bridget Nabisalu in the central defence whereas skipper Tracy Jones Akiror featured in the right back.

Nanziri started upfront supplemented by the artistic Nassuna, Zainah Namuleme and Norah Alupo.

Victory temporarily takes the Crested Cranes to the summit of the Group C table.

Bulega and her charges will return to action against The Gladiators of Namibia on Saturday 15th at the Wolfson Stadium.
