The 9th edition of the Woodball World Cup championship that were scheduled from July 24th to 30th have been postponed due to the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was to be staged in Malaysia this year. The International Woodball Federation (IWBF) is expected to communicate a new date for the championship.
“The organising committee and IWBF have decided to postpone the mentioned championship until the circumstances change into mitigated.” Read a statement that was signed by the IWBF President Ming Hui Weng.
It’s anticipated that every IWBF member organization will still participate in this event after the certain date is announced since it will be the most important tournament among this year except the 6th Asian Beach Games 2020.
