“We realize that golfers are frequent users and that is one of the main reasons we have been sponsoring this event by giving back to them.”

“We have been sponsoring with a package worthy 25 million shillings annually but the Covid-19 pandemic led to financial crisis which also affected the air transport hence reducing on the sponsorship.”

Mark Ntege the chairman Uganda Senior Golfing Society appreciated their sponsors who have helped in making sure the event takes place despite the effects of the pandemic which hit the globe,

“Due to the pandemic we shall have a one day brief competition not like the past years when it was for two days and the official tee-off will be at 10:00am”

“We appreciate our sponsors for over the years Civil Aviation Authority, Uganda golf Union and Uganda Golf Club for hosting us.”

Civil Aviation Authority will also field four golfers Micheal Tumusiime, Paul Kalemba, Inzikiri and Joseph Adrapi the official in charge of Quality Assurance at Civil Aviation Authority.

Uganda Airlines, Nile Breweries, Crown Bevarages and Ultra Uganda are the other sponsors.

Over 100 golfers allover Uganda are expected to take part in the championship.
