Choupo-Moting headlines Cameroon final squad for AFCON tournament

Bayern Munich forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has headlined Cameroon’s 28 man Squad for the Africa Cup of Nations finals.

In mid November, Choupo-Moting tested positive for covid-19 but has fully recovered and will be available for continental showpiece.

Meanwhile, Liverpool defender Joel Matip is not part of the named squad but Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana has been called for the rescheduled tournament.

Cameroon are under the stewardship of Toni Conceicao as they aim for a sixth African title on home soil.

The five time African champions will kick off their campaign against Burkina Faso in a group A contest on 9th January.

Cameroon will also play Cape Verde and Ethiopia in the group stage.
