Charles Ayieko leaves his role as MYDA head coach

He wasn't on the bench today. Erias Madanda was in the dug out instead

After realising that he is fighting a losing battle, MYDA FC head coach Charles Ayieko Lukula has called it quits from his job with immediate effect.

This website understands that the former Maroons tactician has grown frustrated by his team’s failure to arrest the bad form that has seen them fail to win in four Big league matches.

He was appointed at the beginning of this season and entrusted with the task of leading the team back to the Uganda Premier league from where they were relegated last term.

He leaves them in 10th position of 11 teams having amassed only 4 points from 5 games.

This evening, they have been beaten by Proline FC 3-2 at the King George IV stadium in Tororo but Ayieko.

Ayieko has previously coached at Bunamwaya (now Vipers SC), Police FC, Nyamityobora, Soana and Kirinya Jinja S.S (now Busoga United) among others.
