CHAN 2020 QUALIFIERS : Six players dropped as Mubiru trims squad

Uganda Cranes interim head coach Abdallah Mubiru has dropped six players as the team continues to prepare for the CHAN qualifier contest with Burundi.

The players dropped are Joel Mutakubwa (Kyetume FC), Eddie Kapampa (Maroons), Ashraf Mandela (URA FC), Gadafi Wahab (Onduparaka FC), Sam Kintu (Proline FC) and Kigozi Samson Andrew (Police FC).

Goalkeeper Saidi Keni was initially replaced by James Alitho while Edrisa Lubega Torres of Proline FC was deemed ineligible to play.

The technical team will further trim the squad to 18 players who will travel to Burundi.

Uganda Cranes will play Uganda Hippos in a friendly match today evening at Njeru Technical Centre.
