CHAN 2018: Desabre names final 23 man squad

Cranes head coach Sebastian Desabre has named his final 23 man squad ahead of the CHAN championships to be kicked off on January 13th in Morocco.

Vipers SC midfielder Tom Masiko and young KCCA left back Mustafa Kiiza are the unlucky members out of the 25 man contingent.

Police FC’s Rahmat Senfuka and Bright Star’s Seif Batte are this term’s gate crashers having not been given any chance by many for they did not take part in the qualification campaign neither were they part of the CECAFA /COSAFA contingent.

Uganda premier league champions KCCA FC have taken the lion’s share of slots with 8 players,  Vipers SC with 5, SC Villa 3, Express FC 1, Bright stars, Police FC and Proline with 2 each.

The cranes will open up the Championships against the Chipolopolo of Zambia on January 14.
