Challenge League B: Ssesazi inspires Cricket Cranes to first home win

*Jersey win by 88 runs

Right hand batsman Simon Ssesazi was the star as the Cricket Cranes bear Bermuda to register their first home win in the second round of the ongoing Cricket World Cup challenge League B.

The Cricket Cranes had lost their opening two games and the win sees them return to the summit with 12 points.

Ssesazi scored a 53 ball half century as Uganda chased down Bermuda’s 95 in 17.5 overs to seal victory by 8 wickets.

The tournament is a qualification path to the 2023 Cricket World Cup that will be hosted in India.

The top team after three rounds will advance to the next qualifier and earn an ODI status. The third round will be held in Jersey

Uganda will return to action on Friday against fifth placed Italy.
