Morley Byekwaso’s men responded to their opening day blushes in perfect fashion when they put up a superb whitewash of Djibouti.

The riot was ignited by KCCA striker Stephen Sserwadda on 25 minutes with a poacher’s finish that gave Uganda a timely lead.

Uganda’s dominance yielded more fruits towards the close of the first 45 minutes, with Proline striker Ivan Bogere producing goods after controlling Aziz Kayondo’s cross to double Uganda’s lead.

On resumption to the second period, Sserwadda staked his claim harder on Djibouti by completing his brace.

Byekwaso in an attempt to consolidate the game, he withdrew Ivan Asaba, for Isma Mugulusi and Najib Yiga made way for Bright Anukani.

Brace hero Steven Sserwadda was also rested with the introduction of Sadat Anaku on 77 minutes.

Substitute Isma Mugulusi scored Uganda’s 4th and Justin Opiro put the icing on the cake for Byekwaso’s exciting stars.

Kalid Osman Elmi scored Djibouti’s consolation goal.

Maximum points take the Hippos joint top with Sudan on 4 points apiece .

Uganda will face Sudan on 25th September in a top of the table clash, whereas Eritrea will take on Djibouti to determine who qualifies for the knock out stages.
