CECAFA U17 2018: Uganda in group B

The cubs will resume training at the Njeru technical center

The Uganda men U17 team has been pitted in group B of the CECAFA cup that will be kicked off on Saturday 14th 2018 up to the 28th of April.

The cabs will kick off with Tanzania on on Sunday 15th and they will base in Muyinga.

The other teams in Uganda’s group are Zanzibar and Sudan.

Uganda is coached by Peter Onen, deputised by Hamza Lutalo and Mubarak Kiberu

Group A comprises of Burundi, Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia. Somalia Vs Ethiopia will kick off the competition.

This will be third edition of the CECAFA U-17 challenge cup with the previous ones coming in 2007 and 2009.

Burundi and Sudan are the previous winners of the last two editions and the last time Burundi hosted the tournament in 2007, they were crowned champions after defeating Uganda 2-1 in the finals.
