Ugandan representatives Vipers SC will have to settle for nothing but a win against South Sudan outfit Kator FC if they stand a chance to book a place in the quarter finals.

Vipers SC are sitting 3rd on the Group A log with 2 points accumulated after playing to two consecutive 1-1 draws against Azam FC and JKU.

Azam FC and Zanzibar’s JKU who top the group with 4 points each have already qualified for the quarter finals together with Simba SC, Singida United and AS Ports Djibouti.

A win for the Ugandan champions will automatically earn them a place in the last 8 irrespective of results from the other games.

The Venoms will look up to the attacking duo of Daniel Serunkuuma who has scored 2 goals and Milton Karisa who has had a hand in those two goals.

“The ball is in our court, we must focus and score early to stand a qualifying opportunity.” Karisa said via viperssc.com

Vipers will however have to cope up with life without midfielder Brian Nkuubi who limped off in the later stages of the previous game against Azam FC on Sunday.

Azam FC and JKU will face off in the other group game at Chamazi complex at the same time.
