CECAFA Kagame cup experience will be key in taming Al Merreikh – Bbosa

Express won the CECAFA Kagame cup last month with many of Bbosa's men picking vital international experience

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa has affirmed that his team will take full advantage of the experience gained when they took part in the CECAFA Kagame cup which they ultimately won.

The Red Eagles will host Sudanese giants Al Merreikh in the first leg of preliminary stages of the CAF champions league.

It will be Express’ first appearance in Africa’s clubs biggest showpiece since 1994 but the tactician is confident his team are good enough to deal with the pressure in the competition.

” The CECAFA cup provided a perfect platform for us to prepare this team for the tie against Al Merreikh”

Bbosa told the club media in the pre match remarks.

” They are a good team with big continental experience but my boys have immense confidence and we have no any serious injuries so far”

“We aim to take full advantage of the home ground so that we give ourselves a good chance going into the return leg”

Wasswa Bbosa added.

Express will also be buoyed by the return to fitness of fast paced and direct winger Godfrey Lwesibawa who got injured in Dar es Salaam.

They also added Deus Bukenya and Nicholas Kasozi into the squad.

Express FC are Uganda’s representatives in this year’s edition of the CAF champions league and they will host Al Merreikh tomorrow at St Mary’s Kitende stadium.
