Ahead of the Uganda Cranes vs Cape Verde penultimate match, head coach Rui Agaus has predicted a tough contest from which he expects his team to fight for victory despite being away from home.
The 35 man Cape Verde delegation was welcomed by Richard Nandigobe and FUFA delegate Sande Moni before being driven to Sheraton Hotel.
” I know it is going to be a difficult game but we need to win and we of course have to balance our team both defensive and offensive.”
“I can not speak about the result where Uganda defeated my side 1-0 home since I was not there, that is in history and I am here to pick a positive result.”
Ruis Agaus believes he has a very good squad and despite having four points they are to try their chances,
” I have a very good squad, we have only 4 points but we are going to try our best and pick a positive result, Uganda has a good coach and good players but we are here to give the best.”
Uganda Cranes needs 1 point from the remaining two fixtures against Cape Verde and Tanzania to seal a slot in the 2019 AFCON finals in Cameroon.
Still in group L, Lesotho will be hosting Tanzania in Maseru.
