Ugandan striker Deogracious Ojok scored his first goal on his Tusker debut as the Kenyan champions thrashed Djibouti’s Arta Solar7 3-0 in a CAF Champions League preliminary round return leg encounter in Nairobi.

Ojok was playing for Tusker for the first time since joining the club on a two year contract having missed the first leg encounter which ended 1-1 in Djibouti.

The Djibouti champions hoped for a comeback after conceding two goals but their experienced strikers Diafra Sakho and Alaine Traore could not find the target.

Robert Matano the Tusker coach brought on Ojok who made it 3-0 with his first touch of the game from a Jackson Macharia ball in the 76th minute.

The former BUL FC and JMC Hippos striker had just replaced goal scorer Joshua Ibrahim moments earlier on.

Tusker will now face Egyptian champions Zamalek SC in the final round of qualification scheduled for next month.

Tusker’s next game will be against domestic rivals Gor Mahia FC in the Kenya Super Cup on Wednesday 22nd September at the Thika Stadium.
