Ugandan Champions KCCA FC have been handed a tough draw in group A of the CAF champions league.
KCCA FC will face Egyptian giants and record holders Al Ahly FC who have won the championship on 8 occasions.
There will be a reunion between KCCA and former fans favourite midfielder Ivan Ntege who joined the Botswana side at the beginning of the 2017/18 season.
Rollers is most successful club in Botswana football history, with more league titles and cup competitions won than any other local side and enjoys the largest support base of any sports team in the country. They ejected Tanzania’s Young Africans FC in the preliminary stages.
To complete the group is Clube Sportive de Tunis Esperance who are also past winners of the competition on 2 occasions in 1994 and 2011.
Esperance have vast experience in CAF competitions having made 21 appearances and they ejected Kenyan outfit Gor Mahia FC in the preliminary stages.
KCCA will host Township Rollers on 4th May 2018 at the Star Times stadium Lugogo for their first group match.
