CAF Champions League : Yasin Mugume’s Rayon Sport progress after ejecting Lydia Ludic Academic

It was Hussein Tchabalala Shaban 31st minute goal that inspired Rayon Sport to a 1-0 away win over Burundi giants Lydia Ludic Academic in the second leg encounter of the CAF Champions League preliminary round at Prince Louis Rwagasore.

The result ensured that Rwanda side Rayon Sport prevailed to the first round of the CAF Champions League following a 2-1 aggregate win over two legs.

Rayon Sport progression set up a tie with South African giants and 2016 CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns.

The tie also see Ugandan internationals Yasin Mugume ( Rayon Sport) and Denis Onyango ( Mamelodi Sundowns) taking on each other in the two legged encounter.

The first leg is slated for March 6-7, 2018 in Kigali with the return fixture scheduled on the weekend of 16-18 of the same month in South Africa.
