Al Ahly will once again face Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League after both teams were drawn against each other this season’s quarter final draws held on Friday in Cairo.

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane will be in the spotlight since he will be facing his former side for the first time since switching to Egypt midway last year.

The tie will be a repeat of last year’s quarter final where Al Ahly edged the Masandawana 3-1 on aggregate.

Both sides also met at the same level in 2019 and Sundowns, under the tutelage of Mosimane emerged victorious courtesy of the famous 5-0 win in the first leg.

Sundowns, home to Ugandan goalkeeper Dennis Masinde Onyango, will be aiming for their second ever Champions League title after winning the 2016 edition.
