Uganda premier league champions KCCA FC will take on Namibia champions African stars in the first preliminary round of the 2019/20/season.
The aggregate winner between KCCA and the Namibian champions will meet the winner between Matlama FC of Lesotho and Atletico Petroleos de Luanda of Angola with the winner progressing to the group stages.

KCCA will have to visit Windhoek on the weekend of August 9-11 for the first leg and later host the return leg on the weekend of 23-25 of August 2019.
Last season, KCCA fell at the last huddle of qualifying for the group stages of the CAF confederations cup when they fell to AS Otoho 3-2 on aggregate.
They are the only Ugandan club to have qualified for the CAF champions league group stages.
