CAF CC: KCCA held at home by Paradou AC

Uganda’s representatives KCCA FC were held to a goalless stalemate at their own fortress the StarTimes stadium.

The visitors produced a more advanced approach in the opening minutes of the match, dominating possession but also failed to beat Charles Lukwago who had a colourful evening.

Mike Mutebi preferred to start Musa Ramathan at right wing back, but the young star was always limited on ideas whenever he was presented with an opportunity to land in the opponent’s territory.

Mutebi’s men also failed to knit a combination of their trademark exchange of passes near the enemy territory and were only limited to directing long range shots that were easily collected by the visitors’ goal keeper.

Sadat Anaku and Steven Serwadda were brought on for Muzamir Mutyaba and Jackson Nunda respectively in a bit to change approach but their impact was as good as their predecessors’.

KCCA will now have either force a scoring draw or earn any victory if they are to advance to the group stages on 3rd November 2019 in Algiers.
