Hippos head coach Morley Byekwaso has blamed his team’s failure to beat South Sudan on an early red card shown to defender Musa Ramathan.

The young KCCA FC defender was given marching orders after a deliberate handball in the 35th minute.

The red card made things tough for us, it was a hard game and we are glad we managed to avoid defeat”

” We tried hard not to concede any goals which puts us in advantaged position going into our second and final group stage game”.

Uganda will face Burundi on Wednesday 25th November in a must win affair which also have to win with a big goal margin if they are to proceed onto the next stage.

“It is a tricky tournament and we have our work cut out for the next game. We hope to beat Burundi with a good margin and give our self a chance for progression”

The suspended Musa Ramathan is expected to sit one game and bounce back during the knock out stages if Uganda manages to advance.

The Hippos are in group B of the CECAFA U20 championships which also serve as the qualification avenue for AFCON U20.
