Byekwaso names 38 man provisional squad for AFCON U20 preparations

The Uganda U20 National team head coach Morley Byekwaso has summoned a 38 man Squad to begin preparations for the forthcoming AFCON U20 championship.

The championship will be staged in Mauritania from 14th February to 6th March, 2021.

United Kingdom duo of Nathan Odokonyero and Samuel Kitaka are among the new faces included in the squad set to kick start preparations for the U20 AFCON on Thursday evening at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Odokonyero features for Lincoln City while Kitaka plays for Loughborough.

Davis Sekajja who failed to make the grade at the recently concluded Qualifiers returns to the fold and he will join the huge chunk of the lads who took part in the campaign where Uganda emerged victors.

The summoned players will report to camp on Wednesday 20th January at Paradise Hotel in Kisasi and will start training on Thursday evening.
