Busoga United Football Club is in advanced stages with former UPDF FC and SC Villa left winger Titus Lubega, Swift Sports understands.
Lubega is currently a free agent after he was released by newly Promoted Uganda Premier League side UPDF FC.
Sources indicate that the player’s representatives have held several talks with the Jinja based side and the deal is believed to be close to completion.
The crafty winger has previously featured for Proline Football Club, KCCA FC, SC Villa, SC Victoria University (now defunct), BUL FC and UPDF FC.
He also played a pivotal role for his Ngabi Clan as they were crowned 2013 Bika Bya’baganda Football competition champions.
The Abbey Kikomeko coached side renewed employment contracts for experienced goalkeeper Ali Kimera and Left back Julius Debbo while Attacking midfielder David Bagoole left the club and joined UPL champions Vipers.
Busoga United finished fourth with 42 points last season that was abruptly ended because of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
